Axel and other Union workersI am a prime contractor to a mill which is now shut down. I have several millions in equipment sitting in my yard ( still making payments on some)…….no one will even buy it. I have no pension, no severance, and no UIC. We are told that if the mill starts up again we have to take a 10% cut or stay home. I wish these union people would stop their whining.

Let this also remind the apartment-dwellers that we should all have renter’s insurance. It’s usually pretty cheap, and you’d be surprised how expensive it can be if you have to replace EVERYTHING you own. (BTW — ’cause I know how you guys are! — this is not a diss on the donation fund. I donated, and even if you have insurance there are plenty of out-of-pocket costs — not the least of which will likely be paying a higher rent at your new place, if you manage to find one.)
