It’s not a Discworld novel, it’s alternate history with Charles Dickens in Victorian London meeting an impressive young chap nicknamed Dodger, and as the backdrop to the complicated but satisfying action there’s loads of detail on the oppression and sufferings of the poor and how that suffering was perpetuated by the status quo of the time.4.5/5 stars

Just a quibble. USPS is not an essential service. Delivering mail is an essential service. However, grocery stores and a host of other businesses not run by the government are essential services.
