Nice run Biz! I agree that it’s a shame you didn’t make it to the garage sale. I would be even more curious to see what the house looks like. The homes along the main road in my town host a massive yard sale every year. I wish I lived along there because I have a basement full of things I need to sell.I could eat Mexican food every darn day! I was lucky enough to live in Mexico twice during college and the food was incredible.

It’s great to read something that’s both enjoyable and provides pragmatisdc solutions.
Although there is more drought in some regions, there is more precipitation in others, as a result of climate change. I agree that the droughts will be terrible where they are, but look at ie Bangkok – underwater most of this year, and legislators actually considering moving the capital, as more precipitation is in future with climate change. Disastrous impacts from both results.

Christians pray together in groups and churches all the time and no bible scholar who knows anything would claim that this is a violation of what Jesus taught—on the contrary.The real action scripture here is Matt. 18:19-20: “where two or three are gathered in my name..”
I find all these school closings heartbreaking. They can’t admit they don’t know how to fix the problems in the schools, so they blame the schools and then close them, disrupting the lives of children.

Yes, agreed about the power hungry, wanna look good officer who didn’t care about the end result so long as (s)he looks good. I imagine one of the primary reasons the investigation is taking so long is because they are trying to figure out a way to pass the blame on something or someone else and not on them. Its always the young ones that die for these kinds of decisions. It sickens me dearly.

Yes, because it helps reduce EMI, which is pretty obvious when I design a power supply; connecting the capacitor with an oscilloscope connected dramatically reduces switching noise. the absence of such a capacitor often indicates a poor design which will fail an EMI test (the capacitor is typically around 1-4.7 nF and MUST be a “safety” rated capacitor, designed to withstand multi-kV spikes and not catastrophically fail, not just any old capacitor).

We could have universal healthcare if we change a few of our priorities. We could close a couple of our military bases overseas because I think Germany and Japan will be ok if we pull out. I'm sure some other creative minds could find other ways to pay for it or we could have a real public option. Just a thought.
